Synopsis: In the land of Terre d Ange, it is said that the blood of angels flows through the people, particularly in the blood of the aristocracy. However, the influence of the divine shows itself in the most unlikely place, in the eyes of a courtesan, Phèdré, who was born to the Night Court. The blood red spot in her eye, said to be the prick of the fallen angel, Kushiel, has marked her as one cursed to feel pain and pleasure as one. When Phèdré is sold into indentured servitude to the nobleman, Anafiel Delaunay, a chain of events involving political intrigue, murder, and mystery opens her to a world of unknown poss

It is definitely my honor to introduce all of you to the incredible novel Cats Eye. I honestly cant tell you how many times Ive read this story. I stumbled upon it several years ago, and it was the first connection between me and the author. Since then, Ive had the chance to read and critique it throughout Theresas growth as an author, and now, finally, its been published.
What can I say- it seemed like the right time to bring you all a review!
Cats Eye is an action-packed coming-of-age story s

After Dark by Haruki Murakami
As is usual with some of Murakami's other works--the narrative moves us through two different worlds represented by two different sisters. While other characters occasionally receive a time slot (the book is organised by time slots rather than chapters) to themselves, we, the reader, are invited to see the interconnectedness of these other lives with the lives of the two sisters during, as the title suggests, the dark hours in Tokyo.
While there are villainous types and characters we can't help but love in this book, the predominance of fate in making people act the way they do acts as a sort of apology for both the good and bad moments, for

First off, the reason I first picked up this book was due to the fact that Jacqueline Carey had commented on it. I had the first two books by Jacqueline Carey and found them very rich in detail and very in-depth so I thought that this would be a very interesting read.
Interesting doesnt even begin to describe this novel.
As the story begins, you learn the cruelty that reigns within the realm, and it is very depraved in the sexual obscenities that are displayed within each tribe. The story explains the complex relationship between the

Once again the story of Arthur and his knights is rewritten. Sword of Darkness is about the new king of Camelot is evil, but oh so good. Kerrigan was a poor thief when he found the sword that would forever change his life and the future of Camelot. When he was given the choice, he chooses the side of evil, the side of Morgan the dark queen of Camelot. In the process Kerrigan became her dark champion and lost the little bit of humanity and kindness that he had left. This new Camelot is a dark place with no color and only misery.

The Book of Fate
By Brad Meltzer
This book was my book of the month for July. I have to admit that it was a little out of my usual reading element. For the longest time I have been reading paranormal romances and just plain romance. So I will say that it took me a minute to really get into this one. The book is about a young presidential aid that is shot in what is thought of as an attempt on the president. He discovers that something is wrong when he spots the man that was supposed to have died that day. He spots the man in a foreign country where the former president is doing a speech. This book takes you on twist after twist as you fl

This was the second book in the Nightwalker series. I was looking forward to this book as soon as I finished the first book, Jacob. This was the story of Magdelegna the Demon kings little sister and Gideon who is the oldest of their kind left. These are two people that have tried not to feel for each other but the pull is too strong. They finally have to come to terms that they are destined to be together. The chemistry between Magdelegna and Gideon is so strong you can feel it as you read. I think that I like Magdelegna and Gideon better then I did the two main characters in Jacob.

WARNING: CONTAINS SPOILERS!!!!
Normally, I do not wander to far from the genre of fantasy, but this book in particular jumped out at me when I saw it resting on my friends shelf.
I am not a big fan of romances, mainly do to the fact that everything seems to end in a perfect of 'happy go lucky' and it seems all the characters are generic and the same. If I think to choose *any* romance novel, naturally it would be something from paranormal due to the pure fact that I need a little something extra to at least keep my attention attached to the book.
This book was an amazing start to the series.

My response?
...Maybe.
I should first off point out that I am generally drawn to other genres, floating between the
fiction realms of science fiction & fantasy, or, when the mood strikes me, crime dramas and
other such stories. My favorite author has been for many years John Sandford.
This particular reading adventure was actually non-voluntary, as I was required to read it

Naked in Death By J. D. Robb ( Nora Roberts)
This is the first in the In Death series by J. D. Robb. This futuristic crime series starts in the year 2058. The heroine in this series is Lieutenant Eve Dallas, a veteran cop with over ten years on the force. She is a great character with a heartbreaking past. Abused as a child and sent into the foster system at the age of eight, she has no clear memory of her childhood.
This first book is about the serial murders of several Licensed Companions ( prostitution is legal is the future). In the future we have a gun ban which has been in place for many years. The first victim being the granddaughte

This is the second installment to J.R. Ward's The Black Dagger Brotherhood series and only one word comes to mind when I think about this book:
Wow.
This book... was amazing.
It takes the playboy of the Brother's, Rhage, better known as Hollywood, and gives him something that he wants, Mary Luce. Battling with his own internal demons [literally], Rhage falls in love with the human mortal, only to find that she has cancer.
Perhaps that is why this book affects me so much, due to the fact that it shows Mary's struggle with her disease, her bravery while facing it, and her unwillingness to cause other people pa

About: So I just finished this book and it made a special impression on me. The fact that I am easily charmed by the genre itself made me give it a good chance, but to be honest - this book doesn't need any chances like that. It simply is a very good book. I will try not to make any spoilers about the story line and if you find something objectionable, please let me know.
Story line: A lady tells an amazing story she was to experience in her younger days. A story about her father and the truth about a legend well known to any modern civilisation; Dracula. A mysterious book turnes up in the hands of her f

I first read this book when I was in the 8th grade... that was 7 years ago.
This book still remains to be my favorite among the fantasy genre and I recommend it to anyone that loves the darker imaginings of the fantasy world, or even to those who are not to keen on the whole 'mystic' aspect of any book. This one is a classic, an awesome story containing all the perfect elements that creates a tale that will remain a favorite to everyone.
This story revolves around a few main characters, but it centralizes upon Daemon, the bastard son of the High Lord of Hell, Saetan, a
