Naked in Death By J. D. Robb ( Nora Roberts)

This is the first in the In Death series by J. D. Robb. This futuristic crime series starts in the year 2058.  The heroine in this series is Lieutenant Eve Dallas, a veteran cop with over ten years on the force. She is a great character with a heartbreaking past. Abused as a child and sent into the foster system at the age of eight, she has no clear memory of her childhood.

This first book is about the serial murders of several Licensed Companions ( prostitution is legal is the future). In the future we have a gun ban which has been in place for many years. The first victim being the granddaughter of a well know Senator, who is murdered with one of these banned weapons. In the process of investing the murder she meets Roarke, who is her main suspect.

The story has many twists. It was a great read for me. This whole series is good. This book was entertaining. The romance that develops between Eve and Roarke in this book will leave you wondering what will happen between them next. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Nora Roberts, romance, or  mystery. There was nothing about this book that I didn’t like. From the story itself, to the different types of characters that you meet.

I absolutely LOVE the In Death series. First one I ever read was Creation, then Strangers. Went back and started with Naked.
 Which ones are your favorites?
